How we give
Secret’s out: our favorite thing to make here at Inspired Outdoors is... donations! This is why we send 7 percent of our profits to thoughtfully selected charities. We put as much care into where donations are sent as into the suppliers we partner with, and encourage people to look into them as well—and to exercise your personal charity if so moved.
Why (only/a whopping) send 7%?
Simple, we give one percent of our profits for each day of the week, spreading the love and directly supporting our neighbors in need (and their pets). We promise to continue searching for opportunities to give back bigger.
Our Charities
Homeboy Industries
Founded in 1988 and headquartered in downtown Los Angeles at 130 W. Bruno St., Homeboy Industries grew out of the Catholic parish work of Father Greg Boyle in East L.A. Over decades it has become one of the world’s largest gang-intervention and re-entry programs, offering job training, paid transitional employment through social enterprises, tattoo removal, mental-health services, and support for thousands of participants every year. Their scale is large, but their presence is distinctly local—right in the same neighborhoods our partner facilities operate in. When our products move through L.A., the donations have a direct path to the very people they pass.

FOCUS North America
(Fellowship of Orthodox Christians United to Serve)
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, FOCUS North America is active across a growing list of U.S. cities including Los Angeles. This pan-Orthodox nonprofit provides practical, boots-on-the-ground care: food assistance, clothing, hygiene kits, housing-transition help, youth outreach, and community development. Their Orange County program alone has distributed well over 170,000 pounds of food in a recent year, and they recently increased their dedicated presence in Los Angeles. We’ve witnessed their work during wildfire response and the everyday crisis of hunger; their tradition of feeding the hungry is one we deeply respect.

Drive-By Do-Gooders
A small, remarkably committed Los Angeles nonprofit founded in 2015 (with outreach beginning earlier). This group distributes water, wipes, snacks, socks, and other basic necessities directly to unhoused individuals in the Skid Row area—often including food and care supplies for pets, which speaks to their philosophy of dignity and compassion. Their work happens on many of the same blocks our products travel through between manufacture and fulfillment, making the connection between your purchase and their impact remarkably direct.

Pricing for Giving
We donate 7% of our profits, which means the difference between the cost to produce the item and the price you pay becomes part of the giving. Costs shift with fuel, cotton commodities, the labor market for skilled workers, and everything it takes to run a business in California. We keep our retail markup modest (<50%) to balance business sustainability and giving with affordability.
We believe the money is better spent by our charities than most advertisers—share if you agree!
